Prepare to Lead and Serve

每年, First-Year 领导 Class brings together incoming students who desire to be active and engaged in their communities and academics. The program strives to equip these students with the education and personal leadership skills necessary to lead throughout their higher education experience and beyond.

The Fall 2024-Spring 2025 application is open!

If spots remain after the first selection round, the second selection round deadline is 2024年7月26日.

Steps to 应用:

Applications for the First-Year 领导 Class and scholarship open yearly in October.

  1. 应用 and get accepted to A&移动商务
  2. 申请 First-Year 领导 Class scholarship
  3. Complete the application process.
  4. You will be notified of our selection decision before the start of the fall semester. Applicants who apply for the primary deadline of March 8 will be notified by March 15. 学生 who apply for the secondary deadline of July 26 will be notified on July 31. Scholarship recipients must accept the scholarship before the fall deadline outlined in their acceptance email and register for the Fall FLC 100 course.

Get a head start on your college experience.

  • $2,000 scholarship per semester (fall/spring) for a total of $4,000 for the first year. This scholarship can be combined with other scholarships except for Honors College, Regent Scholars and Leo Scholars
  • Enrollment in the two-semester, credited First-Year 领导 Class designed to develop personal leadership skills and individual passions and talents

Preferred 资格

Now is the time for all your hard work to pay off!

  • Minimum high school GPA of 3.0对4.0 scale or 80 on a 100-point scale
  • Located in the top 30% of high school class rank
  • ACT 21 (composite) or SAT 1060 (reading/writing + math)
  • 接受 to and intending to graduate from A&移动商务
  • Evidence of high school excellence in both leadership and academics

Required Application Materials

  • Official high school transcript including GPA and class rank
  • Two 300-500 word essays:
    • 文章1: Describe yourself to someone who doesn’t know you. What are your strengths and areas of improvement?
    • 文章2: How does leadership in high school and college prepare you to be a contributing member of society after college? Describe the leadership experiences you’ve had or would like to have that will help you achieve this goal?
  • Professional resume highlighting your education, accomplishments and involvement
